And as mentioned, the eraser trick does work as well. I haven't tried it because I didn't have a big one available, but it shouldn't remove any metal.
Appreciate the help! Cheers and enjoy your watch!

While no way scientific, I feel my LHD holds up very well! I wear it for all the “dangerous” activities... lawn/yard care, minor projects around the house, beach/surf/snorkel, sports, etc. I love it and it still looks good.

Wearing right now as I enjoy my Easter Sunday on the back deck.

Chiming in here although repetitive to what others have said - i've had mind for about 6 months and its been snorkling, stand up paddleboarding, general hiking and took some good knocks at the beach back in november. Have found that both the bracelet and case have held up well with a few minor oxidized scuffs and swirls that i've been too lazy to attend to. Will try to post a picture or two

One thing to note - the scratches below are very superficial. If I run my nail against them there really isn’t much “catching” so I think it’s more a case of the titanium oxidation being worn off than anything else.

I’m not going to polish it for a year or so as a TRF test. I want to see if the oxidation come back on its own or if I need to do the eraser polish on it.

It doesn’t look nearly as bad in person as the below picture makes it out to be. You would have to be very very close to notice it on the wrist.

In the picture is looks nasty ! Looks like you rubbed asphalt instead of ice

Does Tudor Pelagos scratch easily?

If I am not mistaken, they refer to the Pelagos’s titanium as a level 2?

Sincerely doubt the hardness will change significantly. The Ti should be much harder.

Mine still looks great after years of adventures.
Scratches are easily buffed out with an eraser.

No problem. The Pelagos is probably the most feature filled diver I can think of for the $$$, and I own a few Rolex divers.
Don’t get me wrong I love Rolex divers, but IMO the Tudor is a better tool watch.

Thanks.

It’s a great watch. I’d go as far to say the early eta is the best bargain out there at the moment. It’ll be one of those watches (like the snowflake subs) in years to come where people kick themselves for not buying when they had the chance.

I sold a lovely condition, full set eta recently for £1800. Nothing close bang per buck IMO

I don't own a Rolex diver though I have a 114270 Explorer Y serial which I am never going to sell. I love the Explorer so much and it has been with me for almost 4 years now. I had the option back then between a 14060 and I tried them both, I just don't connect to the older subs... I am not a fan of the two line text of the older ones... This is why I don't like the ETA Tudors, and in general, not that Tudor manufacturing their own movements seals the deal for me. I tried that watch a couple of times now at an AD, it looks even better than my watchmaker’s Kermit that I used to be in love with. I just don't feel the urge to go for a Rolex when it comes to divers, I feel like the Pelagos presses all my buttons... Thanks for the info!

I nearly sold mine a couple of times to make way for larger purchases. Looking back now I am very glad I did not since many of them have been kicked from the collection.

The more watches I own (especially on the high end) the more I appreciate the Pelagos.

Best regards.

I haven’t noticed many scratches on mine, but it’s worn in rotation with others. Just for the sake of comparison, however, the hardness of grade 2 titanium is listed at 145 Vickers. The hardness of standard 18K yellow gold (gold, copper, silver, zinc) is 155 Vickers. So, grade 2 titanium is relatively soft. It oxidizes quickly though, which tends to hide scratches over time.

Guys,
It's super hard to upload pictures here for some reason, so I can't really show what I want to show... But has anyone noticed their Pelagos’s Bezel misaligned with the 12’ marker? I noticed that on mine, tried to look at other watches and basically most of them have the same problem... Am I the only?

The alignment of the Lumes in the cutaways is one of the reasons I don't own the Pelagos. It would drive me crazy as I have dealt with alignment in making semiconductors for decades.

I'm pretty sure the titanium used in Tudors is the same as Breguet uses or very similar and that is pretty nice titanium. I've heard rumor from a pretty well connected watchmaker that Breguet manufactures the cases and bracelets for Tudor to some extent and Tudor does the movements. Anyway, check out this beautiful titanium Breguet

I might start getting over it... Feels like every Pelagos I see has a misaligned bezel... Hopefully someone can chime in and share some info about it... Cheers!
