But I can do the same swap (Jubille to Oyster) with the new BLNR...

Get whichever one you like more. Personally, I much prefer the oyster. The jubilee on a sports watch looks forced and out of place to me. Just my .02

Going against the majority here.....

I've got the original and want to get the Jubilee. If it comes in, I will be selling the Oyster one to buy it (plus some change).

Reason is, having recently got the DJ41 on Jubilee I just find it much more comfortable. I now see what all the Pepsi owners were talking about.

Nothing against the Oyster, I have been happy with it for nearly 5 years and think it probably looks better. But the comfort of the Jubilee just swings it for me.

Oyster. Likely the last time you can get it new. Jubilee you can always get down the road.

If you have a chance , get the OYSTER BATMAN !
IMO , Oyster BLNR is %100000 better then the Jubilee BLNR ...

Curious why all the "Batgirl" references on the new BLNR model as if its something negative. Yet everyone loves the jubilee on the BLRO and think of it as a grail piece...

Yes, the jubilees start to ship in May.

I'll throw another wrench which I did not mention..

Batman Oyster or

Batman Jubilee and Hulk. I cannot get the Batman Oyster and Hulk. Probably for obvious reasons that Batman Oyster is now in extreme demand.

All of them new and MSRP.

Get the retired 116710 now and if you change your mind, can always source the 126710 later. If you pass on the 116710 now, your chances of getting one BNIB greatly diminishes.

Buy the one that looks good to you on your wrist. I'm sure you already have a slight favorite. I can't imagine wearing a watch I dislike, even if it has a high resale value.
Personally, I do not like sport watches on Jubilee. I can't imagine buying a Sub with a Jubilee bracelet.

Since you have the choice of getting either one at MSRP, get the 116710BLNR.

Although the new 126710BLNR may be difficult to obtain even once the ADs begin receiving shipments, at least being the current model, it's still in the realm of possibility to get one at MSRP later on if you decide to go that route.

However, you'll likely never have the opportunity to get a BNIB 116710BLNR from an AD at MSRP ever again.

I’d almost always opt for the newer model, and in this case it’s no different. I owned the 116710 BLNR but it didn’t last. I think the jubilee might have made it a keeper if it had that bracelet option.

To each their own I suppose. Oh, and I also like the additional power reserve. To me, it’s nice to take it off on a Friday and still see it running on a Monday

Why not pick up the new one so you get the new movement + addt'l power reserve? If you want to throw it on an oyster, you could always try sourcing the oyster separately...

Jubilee is the most feminine watch bracelet Rolex makes. If you have a pair, get the Oyster.

More importantly who is that AD in Massachusetts who has a BLNR in stock?

What do you like? This should be a super easy answer for you. I have the Oyster BLNR and prefer it over the jubilee. I understand the new movement has improved power reserve, but I don’t care since all my watches sit on a winder.

Again.... what would you wear and feel great about it?

In the end it comes down to one question based on personal preference - Oyster or Jubilee
The collectability might not come simply for the bracelet, but perhaps from being the First dual-color ceramic bezel ever produced by any brand.

Reportedly you can’t. Lugs are different. Folks know if that’s true?

Everyone likes the oyster, it seems. It is a big scratch magnet especially on an active sport watch. The jubilee, to me, is far more comfortable and wears better. The older GMTs came on the jubilee. Just me, but I would get the jubilee new movement watch all day long.

I'd say Oyster bracelet. IMO, while the jubilee looks outstanding on the BLRO, the same is not true on the BLNR. But of course, you will be the one that is going to wear it so get the one that appeals to your senses.

For look, Oyster.
For more improved movement, Jubilee.

Yes! Lot’s of advice. Thanks TRF.

Leaning towards the BLNR jubilee combined with Hulk. May change my mind by the morning. Tough one for me.
