In the terms and conditions for the auction:
...the following separate rewards (“Rewards”):
* an Audemars Piguet unique edition watch (“AP Watch”)
* enjoy golf 18 holes with World Champion Ian Poulter in Lake Nona Florida...
* a signed glove by the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO two-time Unified World Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua...
* Meet Serena Williams herself for a lunch in Jupiter Florida, and receive an autographed racket...

No kidding. But that you need the 350k bank statement for bidding on the first item, and not the lunch, is just my guess. Otherwise, I'll take the watch for $5k, please, no need to wrap it.

Not in this case. I can explain more after the fact but it's a safe choice.

I wonder if it would be Thor. Didn’t someone say it’s not major characters though? Thor is definitely major.

Chris Hemsworth does rock an AP every time I see him in a photo though.

I think this may be the nexus of watch lovers and comic book lovers. I used to collect comic books back in the day and I honestly have to say that there is something special about it. I think a few will love it and it may even be a grail piece.

Many people are heroes and they should look into the real life battles doctors and scientists had with COVID-19. Police, firefighters, and others should be celebrated.

I agree. Wholeheartedly.

That said, heroes and superheroes aren't quite the same, at least, not by definition.

Still, would be super cool to see a first-responder commemorative edition.

$200k? Maybe I missed a "not" when I thought I heard the BT tell me it was "affordable", or the word doesn't mean what they think it means.

Let's not forget there are TWO watches next Saturday. The first being the 250 Marvel Character watch for general sale and the second being the Unique watch for auction.

I'm sure the $200k price point, if that is to be given any credence, is a 'starting' bid for the Unique piece.

Also, 'I heard from a friend who heard from his nanny who heard from her realtor....' isn't gospel , but that said, it's about as reliable as anything else on here

There's an add on SZR in Dubai that explicitly references vibranium...obviously hints at the Black Panther.

Auction piece is different.

The marvel piece is their Concept collection Tourbillon so the price is in the range of 180-200k.

Exactly what I said above :)

The question is, at that high price point, will demand be high?

Was able to see the piece this week and the pricing is around 159k + tax.. Awesome craftsmanship but this one in particular is not my cup of tea.. we’ll see what they do with future releases.

US$160k for a tourbillon concept is a very competitive price

Excited to see it now!

If it's a Concept then I'll be genuinely shocked, more so by the price point.

It'll be interesting on Saturday if AP tells us, or hints at future releases, dates etc. I'm even more interested in whether future releases will also be Concepts.

This seems to be a move to 'main stream' the Concept. Interesting.

More like 10% up initially and then 15-30% below msrp.

If it is a 42mm concept model, then hats off to AP for not just 'branding' a 42/43/44 ROO and making the effort to do something worthy of a multi year multi model branding relationship.
