Of the two, and in the metal options you stated, the RG44 by a mile.

5164A and RG 44 would be a tougher choice for me, so i got both

Good choices of selection you made
Beautiful!!
As i already have 2 S/S PP so hoping to add a PM watch in my next one.

Cheers

5524G? That one is growing on me a lot lately. I would get that vs a 5164r.

Hideously beautiful! I had pretty much decided that I could live without a RG44 and this thread is breaking down my resistance

Surely a regular RG ROC would be more in keeping with the 5164 being considered?

And with the price difference, you could opt for an additional watch which is completely different to what you already have, just to add an extra bit of variety.

http://www.colette.fr/mo-rddbex0509-...odbe509-1.html – ignore the price, as it can be picked up for much less.
The reason i am considering another 44mm ROOC is that i am always attractive to sport AP models, iconic and wears well.
On the other hand the 5164r is really beautiful and classy...

Cheers

I think the ROC wears a little large for the type of watch it is. Not a deal breaker, but it isn't supposed to be a big watch in the same way a ROO is.

Actually tried on a similar RD to the one you linked last weekend, and was not a fan.
Beautiful photo!! Such same and yet different AP 44mm offshores in PM and Titantium..love it

Cheers

That’s the thing with aesthetics, it’s highly subjective, although in certain instances, group/herd thinking/pressure can persuade others to abandon their own view.
That’s why it’s not worth making an issue over different adjectives used to describe one’s view or opinion – to each their own, and sticks and stones may break my bones… etc.

i didn't say it was hideous. Thats the difference. Of course we have different views and tastes but that doesn't make it a bad watch. Its quite impressive for those who get that particular design.

We’ll need to see proof of this attractiveness… post a photo, smiling preferably.
If we agree that you are indeed attractive, which we’ll be doing on behalf of the watch, since it’s not sentient, then you have our blessing to get the AP.
If not, then you’ll have to just make do with the PP. Deal?

BTW, the word is ‘attracted’.

I know you didn’t, I was merely saying that it wasn’t worth bothering to remark upon.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and all that.
I wouldn’t subscribe to the pov that there’s anything to “get” – it’s simply a case of whether it grabs you or not, hence the reason design is purely subjective, even allowing for certain commonalities.

AP all they way, I like PP in pictures however, they let me down on my wrist...what I see is what I expect is what I get w an AP (especially the RG!) Furthermore, I hate, hate, hate the looks of the ghost hand.
