If going to the beach a lot SMP. Personally take both. SMP for the day at the beach. DJ for dinner and going out. Neither of those will be rare in Miami.

David is 250 miles north of South Beach, but I like how you think!

Don't worry about a thing (as long as you stay out of crappy neighborhoods). There seems to be a gold Rolex at every corner. Even the less than desirable neighborhoods have business owners wearing them. Just be safe and have fun. Don't stop for anyone handing out flyers in Lincoln Road Mall. They won't mug you or anything like that AT ALL. They will just give you a sob story and take up quality time and a few bucks.

Do as the locals and walk by them without acknowledging them. I know it sounds rude, but that's how they will leave you alone. If that's not your style, just say no thanks and keep walking. If you stop, their sales pitch will start.

South Florida is a great place to visit. You will see great stuff(cars, watches, and beautiful people)there.
Go to Bal Harbor Shops,or one of many other great places to spend too much money.
There are few places like it!

I am with Imono, I would "accidently" forget my watch and then go to DavidSW and buy a new one. Based on your collection I would look into a GMT. Great all around watch. Have a good trip.

I am heading for Miami june 27 !
And will be wearing my Sub (in the water, pool, beach, etc . . . hope she survives it ;-)
Never had any problems during the wonderful times (probably about 20) we spend in Miami, Sarasota, Daytona . . .
Enough other expensive watches they can take besides my Sub . . ;-)

Enjoy your trip
