"Vintage" Diver Incoming!

Ok, this is really exciting. This is my all time favorite design in Omega's diver family, but it's a sixties watch. Damn. How do I get around that...

You see, I love the model, case curves, sword hands, overall aesthetics. But I really like to purchase new pieces. It's not a dislike for vintage, but a preference for modern, as it's more practical to me, with all the caveats in the vintage market, maintenance, etc.

How do you get the best of both worlds, then? Well, this watch is pretty much the answer. Built from 100% original NOS parts (including the 565 caliber), it delivers the aesthetics with the modern convenience. I got it with the 1171 period correct bracelet, but this watch really shines on a nato.

I have been really gravitating towards Omega recently...
