AD gave me some info today, for what it’s worth.
Visited my AD which is turning in to a boutique next month. Yes, empty cases, same old story blah blah blah. My SA, said she had some info for me. Eagerly, I perked my ears up and tilted my head. She said….
Rolex is not taking ANY orders for ANY model from ANY AD. … … … What this has to do with the price of tea in Yugoslavia I have no idea, and quite honestly, I thought this was the status quo right now anyway. Well, I just thought I would pass on this exciting and informative news. Does it mean anything? Probably not, but if it is indicative of… well anything, please let me know your thoughts. |

I thought you were going to say it’s the other way around, that with reopenings Rolex will now start taking orders for any model.... what a let down.
But what exactly does “taking order” mean here, really? You put in an order for OP41 Tiffany blue, your AD submits this to Rolex, and Elf Buddy at the Rolex factory gets to work? |

What orders did AD’s request? From what I’ve read Rolex just sends the allotment to the AD and the AD has to accept the shipment paid in full.
What types of watches were ever ordered by ADs. |

Well my AD called me a week ago and told me how well things were going ,He received a allocation of 20 pieces and 15 were presold . But if he only got 20 pieces thats 240 for the year things are pretty awful in the supply chain.
Nothing for me either |

My AD who sells Rolex and a bunch of other brands just texted me twice this week about whether I want to order a couple Rolex models, and also gave me quotes on wait times on the professional models.

I'm not surprised that all men's SS watches are on allocation. I find it hard to believe that a rainbow daytona might just show up in East Coonscratch without an AD request. And I also find it hard to believe they can't order ladies datejusts or Cellinis

It's always good to stay up-to-date on Rolex policies. They seem to issue about ten of them a week.

Meaning, “ stop asking me for a SS Daytona.”
They get what they get at ADs and the in demand models go to big spending customers that they know. That said, I do hope that you get the watch that you want! |

I find it quite hard to believe that your SA would know what the distribution policies are in other global markets, particularly given that your AD's sales agreement and entire dealings are with Rolex Watch USA Inc and not Rolex SA.

Why not? Human nature and since any statement cannot be verified it then becomes a talking point on the internet.
No retailer knows what Rolex SA is going to do.
