Thanks all. Second AD said he thought it was gtg. She seems to be picking up time though. I wonder what turn around time from the RSC is. I'd hate to be without her for too long.

Hmmmm... She seems to be picking up about 12 - 15 seconds a day. Kind of BS that the shop owner said it was running + 3.5...
Still have a month on the warrantee. My local AD is having some sort of event where they will have a certified tech look at your watch and do a 17 point inspection on it for free. What do you guys think? I'd kind of hate to be without it for too long. P.S. What's average turnaround for the RSC anyway? |

No reason to doubt that watch. The only thing that is not on the up and up is your cleaning skills. Take a toothbrush and some gel toothpaste and clean that watch up before the photo shoot.
Huge congrats. One note, there should be a spare link with a "0" on it. That link should be placed next to the recessed link that goes into the bar on the clasp. It is the point to push to break the link and free the extension. Often, I see them installed in other places, or in the box with the spare links.

Your watch has a problem. Based on its age, and how fast it is; it is likely that it is magnetized. A competent watchmaker will degauss (demagnetize) and then place on timing machine to check timing, amplitude and other things that he is trained to look for. He will then open up, and inspect looking for contamination, rotor axle play, and that there is lubrication in the bearing surfaces. Then will close back up and pressure test, and report the finding to you. Takes about 15 minutes, the pressure test takes 5 minutes by itself.
