Tudor Heritage Black bay or Rolex Oyster SS no date?

My wife wanted to wear a men's sized watch. She is looking at the Tudor Heritage Black Bay with the Burgundy dial, but is also considering a Rolex all steel Oyster no date in 36mm. The Rolex costs more but which one do you think will hold its value down the road? Is the price difference of around USD 1,600 worth it? The black bay is sportier and bigger, while the Oyster is a plain classic rolex..

About as dissimilar as two watches can be, this would be my choice, regardless of gender

Rolex all the way. I really love the black bay - I almost pulled the trigger twice. But at the end of the day, I realized that buying the black bay kept me 3 grand away from my next Rolex. And Rolex far trumps Tudor

rolex. especially for value vs the BB.

the BB is very nice but if you can swing the additional $, grab the rolex. you won't regret it.

I prefer divers/sports watches, so out of the two you have there...I would go for the Black Bay; however, I like the Tudor Pelagos better than the BB, so that one is also worth checking out if you also like divers.

Rolex Oyster no date. My wife has a two tone in 34mm. There are some cool new dials in the 36mm, check them out.

This is not my photo, but it is an excellent shot of the three new dial options.

Early in my collecting days I had a choice between an Omega and a Tudor.
I thought the same thing as the majority here. I viewed the Tudor as a second tier watch.
So, I bought the Speedmaster. A great watch, right.
The Tudor, however, was the chronograph that is refered to as the Monte Carlo now.
I say go for the design.
Black Bay all the way.

Just let her wear your watches. She'll then likely support any future purchases. Everyone wins.
