The seller should refund no question asked. The question is, did the seller know the dial was refinished? Either the seller is not honest or not adequate to deal with vintage. Regardless, all potential buyers should b made aware of this seller to avoid future complication IMO.

I'd want a refund from the seller.

I would be pissed! Please keep us posted, that's why everything I buy I try to find someone more knowledgeable than I am to run things by.

Why go through all this when you can just buy from HQmilton.

Hi Richard,

Yah, you are right in a way. Probably too eager to own one that's why. This will be a good lesson for me.

Yes he did...

Hi Adam,

Yes, thankfully he responded and we are working things out and exploring a couple of options. At this stage, it is probably too sensitive to post what we have discussed here. I will update this thread accordingly.

Thanks for your and the folks' kind concern.

Icon14 Case closed amicably...

Dear All,

To those who have provided great advice and showed concern, thank you folks for chipping in with your valuable views. I truly appreciate them all and would like to update all that the case is now settled amicably with mutual agreement reached with the seller

I must commend the seller's willingness to negotiate and was apologetic about the situation. A true gentleman indeed ! IMHO, his reputation will rest well here and on other forums

This is indeed a great forum and I highly recommend it to all Rolex and watch connoisseurs
