Bezel help
I purchased an aftermarket bezel assembly (insert, ring that insert fits into, and tension spring) for my 5513 sub. when I try to install, it will not click down. It's too loose. Could i need a new retaining ring? I am assuming the existing retains ring is still on in that the crystal is secure. I assume that if the retaining ring was missing that the crystal would be loose. Is that correct?
I have read that there can be wear on the retaining ring that impacts fit of anyreplacement bezel. Is that the case? Sorry for my ignorance, obviously i am in need of some education. Many thanks. |

Your best option is to find an authentic bezel and see if it fits. Hopefully it will but if not a watchmaker with a special Rolex bezel tool can stretch or shrink the bezel and retaining ring to make them fit.
Why did you replace the bezel? |

So if you have the original bezel just buy a tension spring.
