Why Vintage Rolex?

http://www.horobox.com/en/news-detai...ter-Gilt-Dial-

Here is a great thread from over on HOROBOX.....

The guy interviewed goes into the details of how he caught "the bug" and how his favorite watch is a vintage Rolex GMT Pepsi.....

There's something about vintage that modern Rolex just don't have. Whilst the latter may be better built with better components, the vintage look just seems to sing out Rolex better - some amazing vintage out there!

Vintage rules. So do DOME plexi's....I always bought new Rolexes and never really got into the vintage thing. A few years ago a good friend was wearing a gilt sub and I was mesmerized by the dial and super dome. I have been slowly but surely moving the collection to vintage ever since. Not sure he did me any favors....Now I am totally obsessed with vintage pieces.
