DAYTONA 6263, too good to be true..

hello guys

I need some help from you ..
this watch was offered to me yesterday ..
and asking price was very good .. but I would like to check with you condition of the watch, dial , hands and other things first ..

the bracelet is newer one, clasp code PJ5 from 2008

bezel insert is broken between "8-9" , and I'm not sure if it is genuine..
crown seems to me fine , the case fine too , 295 xxxx (70yr if I'm right)

guy said : "Maybe one part of "engine" was changed many years ago , and that is all" ..

I will open the backcase and take some pics later ..
but first I would like to know if all is well at first look to you ..

I need help from you , please
thanks in advance

thanks for looking
best regards from Croatia
Denis

the condition of those sub-dials and some of those hour markers would bother me too much to be honest...

The dial is either aftermarket or refinished.

I agree. I don't like the Big Red location and the color of the registers.

Forget about this Daytona. It is most likely real, but as others have said, the dial doesn't look right and the condition is pretty rough..

It's most likely, almost certainly, not real.

thanks all guys
I realy appreciate your help ..

asing price was $12000

the watch was in Official Rolex Service/Shop and chief watchmaker said all is OK with this watch !!??
I can't believe they didn't open the caseback , but after he check it in his hands said just like that "everything is well with that watch" ... very strange ..

After that I went to regular watchmaker who opened the watch and I took a few photos. ..

I'm not an expert but some things doesn't looks to me 100% , maybe you can see something wrong here ..

once again thank everyone for generous help.
I will pass this deal...
you helped me a lot ..

best regards from Croatia
Denis

It is the wrong movement for the watch and the movement in your pictures has some rolex parts and some aftermarket ones as well.

Bad fake, and probably artificially added patina to age it. Asking price alone should have been a dead give-away. Here's a real one (my former 6263). Big difference.

You are indeed correct. Initially, I had thought that maybe the dial was simply aftermarket/refinished and the rest was real, but now that we have seen pics of the movement, that theory has been proven wrong..
