I see. I agree with you there!

Great looking watch, but why not put a proper moonphase window ? It's just a spinning Moon

A nice-looking watch, no doubt. I'm still on the fence, though, with respect to the moonphase implementation, as it doesn't show the phases. It may grow on me, though I've got my eye on the Patek 5396r-012 at the moment.

The $25K list price isn't an obstacle at all. I expect to find this piece under $20K from the grey market in fairly short order.

Like the moon phase over the cheap looking day night indicator...unless you live in a cave in which the watch is pretty much useless since there is no lume. The traditional moon phase window would help this watch. The pointer system for me does not work
Your mileage may vary

I think its good for sales that they took out the Cellini on the dial and just have Rolex.

IMO the Cellini branding makes it distanced from the rest of the Rolex range and people may be less inclined to buy it.

An actual graphical depiction of the moons visual state is the fundamental quality of a moonphase.

The moon is a visual entity and thus, the appeal comes from seeing the same thing in the sky as the same thing (ideally) on the watch.
