Aqua Terra ?

I've been searching for a white dialed( I know it's silver but with the ribbed dial it looks whiteish) watch and I think I could get past the Datejusts 36mm case size just seems a bit to small. I have never owned an Omega and I have had this on my wrist I do like the size of it but how is the quality ? Have been wearing only Rolex for over 20+ years so would I be happy with it.? Oh is this a price I should expect to pay ? Let me know please !! Clark http://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-Seamas...torefresh=true

I agree the aqua terra is quite a looker. It it certainly more modern than an op or datejust, and does not seem to hold residual value as well. The build quality is very high, the attention to detail is close to Rolex levels. Omega doesn't use 904 steel, bracelets and clasps are quality, but I prefer the Rolex design. Omega at coating on crystals is superior. If the coaxial movement excites you, that's a potential advantage to.

After thinking and writing this, try it on first. It tried it on at an ad with both omega and Rolex, and I have to admit the Rollies all felt more solid and "right" to me.

Why not get a 116334 with white dial and batons?

I love the AT, I've had one for over ten years and still enjoy wearing it. It's a great watch for all occasions.

However, if you're a Rolex man at heart, have you considered a white DJ41?

I wear an older Master II at 40mm and that's the biggest I'll go even had a 114060 and that was to big for my liking. That's why I was looking at the AT at 38.5mm . Just wish they made a white dial 39mm Explorer!

White Milgauss? That's 40mm, although slightly thicker than an old GMT.

Nonetheless, the AT is a fantastic watch. I think it is probably perfect for what you need. Build quality is excellent, movement is superb.

Aqua Terras have such a diverse line with something for everyone....I agree it's a very versatile piece with a great movement....I picked the blue Skyfall myself:

You guys have some beauties! If I would allow myself two AquaTerras I'd add the Skyfall to my collection. As it is, this is the one my wife gave me as a wedding gift 12 years ago and I love it.

My Aqua Terra is one of the most versatile watches I have. Looks great on bracelet, leather strap, or NATO. It's a great daily watch. Now, if it could just be a couple of mm less thick, it would be even better!

Agreed. I actually find Omega watches in general far more receptive to straps/natos compared to Rolex...most Rolex just screams bracelet with only a couple exceptions....most of Omega's lines look great with straps.....also agreed the aqua terra could be that much better had it been a tad thinner (perhaps without the clear display caseback).

I think so too. I chose this watch in large part because they managed to fit the gmt and chronograph functions on the dial without having the dial look very busy.

Love my AT that have had about 5 years.(never been serviced) Accuracy still well within COSC and am crazy about the ribbed gray dial on. One of my fav go to daily wear pieces. Very cool piece that is both modern and classic looking with the retro markers.

I didn't know you could find those complications in a non-600M rated, He escape case. it looks like the rehaut and bezel are quite deep on that one, but those things can be decieving.

Call Charlie at Watches Etc. in Oklahoma City. The last time I was in there, he had one in the case. He's as legit as they come. If I remember, it was the 8500 model that has the date framed window and the non PCL. Better model imo.

I haven't seen aftermarket casebacks for Aqua Terras but that doesn't mean they don't exist, I've seen see through and solid aftermarket casebacks for different Omegas....would I ever use one? nope heh.

I've seen solid casebacks for the early quartz ATs but never the automatics....they've always been see through I think.

My son's silver teak dialed AT. At some viewing angles, the dial appears completely rose gold. He gets lots of compliments on it from people who realize it isn't a Rolex, but aren't quite sure what brand it is.

I had a white one and I regret trading it. I have extensive Rolex ownership experience, the AT is comparable to Rolex quality.

That's the white dial, huh? It looks nice and pink. I wish they made that model with an actual matching rose gold dial, like the gold/ss with the champagne dial.

I know this is an older thread and one person showed their 2503 white dial, but here is mine on a newer omega blue cordura strap. The strap is incredibly comfortable. This strap also goes with the Ryder cup model or the good planet AT.

Also a brown croc if anyone has interest on what white and brown would look like.

I'm pretty sure it's the silver teak dial.
