Its an old Nikon D200 fiited with 105mm f2.8 lens.

I'm surprised that you can't 'hack' the movement by pulling out the crown, but that's what Paul at AP London said to me. In some ways it was a relief, because I'd go mad if my second new AP in a row had to go to the doctors!

Amggts9, just checking - does your watch hack? If you pull out the crown to furthest extent does it stop the little seconds at six sub dial hand, or does it stay running?

Does not hack, stays running. This chrono module has always done that.

Hi There

I just joined the forum :))), Here is my baby also in blue. May I ask what rubber strap did you get for it, cause as far as I know only the offshore has the rubber strap, and does the ROO fit the ROC :P

This is a beautiful piece! Congratulations!

I have been on the lookout for the right Rose Gold Royal Oak and I think your pictures have made my mind up to go for the blue dial. Will try and find a dealer selling one.

By the way, do AP do genuine rubber straps, or is that an after market? Just asking because the AD is Mexico told me AP don't make rubber straps for a RO. And how much are they if you don't mind me asking?

Of course they do. They have a few limited RO's selling with rubber straps from AP. That AD in Mexico doesn't know anything.

Correct. OP was able to order Blue rubber. As to what shade of blue it is (pride of italy blue or a different shade of blue) we will have to see. Im super interested as you rarely see a RO on OEM rubber and even more rare to see a color other than black.

Yup that Mexican AD sure was a joke of an AD! Just glad I didn't give them my business!

Will be good to see some more pics of the OEM rubber strap and hoe it sits with the clasp.

I got the blue rubber strap fitted to my RG Chrono at the AP London Trunk Show yesterday and its very nice indeed. The blue is a dark blue, the same as the dial. I did take some pics but can't get the stupid photobucket thing to work, it keeps asking me to re-log on, so can't post them at the moment.

The quality of the rubber strap is very good indeed and very tactile. Its a smooth rubber with matt but pleasant surface, not rough like the straps on the ROO 44. My only issue is its too big and not tight enough on the wrist. AP will get a smaller strap for me but in the meantime they are going to punch an extra hole in it next week.

Yea the rubber is different between the RO and ROO. AP needs to work on their rubber straps. Hublot makes the best rubber straps. I barely feel that the watch is on my wrist. AP should make the RO rubber strap in the ROO size. It would help bridge the gap.

rubber is different among the ROO's too. There is a clear difference between the diver and RG 44 black rubber. Then the Ti grey rubber is even softer than the black rubber from the other 44's. All 3 of my rubber straps are noticeably different from each other. I get that the diver strap is different, but for the 44's straps to be that different from each other was surprising. The grey one is the best in terms of comfort. So i doubt you truly know what you are going to get if you order one you are not familiar with as depending on the color they are different in softness/texture.

I have to say I don't dislike the black rubber strap on my RG44 at all. Yes, its a bit stiffer than the blue rubber now on my Chrono, and has texture, whereas the Chrono one is smooth, but I like it. The smooth rubber works better with the Chrono as its a bit more of a dress watch, whereas the rougher look to the ROO fits in with its sporty appearance.

Well even worse. Then they have shown capable of producing a soft 44mm strap and only offering it in grey is stupid. It should be offered in black as well. If anything it should become the default ROO strap.

I hate seeing pictures of this blue chrono lol. If I didn't already order 2 APs for this year I would get this too.

Though my ideal one would be this exact model but with the in-house chrono. Maybe AP continues these designs into next year and only adds the in house chrono as the only difference. Then the blue one would be first on my list for next year :).

Comfort and look with the Ti...Perfect color combo for that watch and dial!

I've got a white 44 strap and a blue one, the white one is very soft and the blue one is not. I also have a white 42 strap and that is equally soft. Maybe AP changed supplier or maybe whatever is added to make different colours affects how soft it is.

i don't know why but the straps are different.

Im glad someone else noticed too as it sounds crazy to say two rubber straps for the same watch are noticeably different in softness, but they are.

They are all nice though! I've decided I prefer the 'rougher' rubber of the ROO straps, but its a personal decision. They are all better quality than the likes of Rubber B.

At last some pics of my watch on its new blue rubber. Its not a perfect fit at the end links, but you don't notice the gaps to the naked eye. For me much nicer than the croc strap, as its less formal and more sporty. Rather more practical for everyday wear too.

Blasphemy. I'd keep it on the blue croc. Bijan wore an all diamond AP every day with any outfit. You make the watch dressy or sporty, not the other way around.

Totally disagree - I much prefer it on rubber, and its much more comfortable too.
