Rising prices

A recent thread talked about increasing prices for 5711 and 5712 models. Is there any indication that this trend in Nautilus pricing is spreading to Aquanaut models (new or pre-owned) since both are sports models? Or is the price action simply due to the iconic nature of Nautilus along with scarcity?

Any evidence of an increase in Aquanaut demand/price in conjunction with what is happening to Nautilus? Thoughts would be of interest. Thanks.

In the UK the 5167 is difficult to get hold of and there are second hand dealers advertising unworn for 2-3k over rrp. Whether they are getting that amount is another question.

I would say if the 5711/1A can be compared to the SS DaytonaC, the 5167A is more like a SS Sub or GMT. IMO the 5711/1A and the SS DaytonaC prices are going through some "irrational exuberance" and will settle down eventually. The 5167A has a stable price but nothing crazy. The UK market is an outlier for all luxury products due to the weak GBP post-Brexit.

I have been kicking myself for not upgrading my 5167 to a 57xx model last year when I planned on it but I just haven't had the nerve get rid of my 5167/first Patek since I love it so much. It's also a lot different than the Nautilus so having both in my collection has been something I've yet to decide on yet. I love PP sport watches in general but since I tend to wear it every day the brushed bezel will eventually need rebrushed and don't really want two steel watches that scratches this easy. I don't polish my watches and would never want an overhaul done but brushing the bezel is something I would want done since it's a major design characteristic of all the sports watches.

Got off topic but personally love the Aquanauts just as much as the Nautilus models even though more feel the other way around. I'd like to know what these 3-4K marked up pieces final selling price actually is.

I know you just recently snagged your 5167. Glad to take it off your hands

Would only trade up to a 57xx or a 5164 but debating just buying a white 5711 honestly. It's my favorite model out of 5711/5712. I like the 5726 at it's used price and would consider it as a candidate for my one and only brushed bezel PP I think.

It's about time for a purchase and between a H Moser Pioneer Center Seconds, 57xx, or a Calatrava I'm torn. My other option is trading up for a 5726, PP annual, or H Moser Pioneer Perpetual. In the very back of my mind is a pink Sky Dweller but that's a lot of watch.

Have both, even 3 as I have 5711/12 and 5167R, and it's awesome to have them all. About scratches mine have a few hairlines, not made by myself but by the teeth or claws of my Staff, we got him 8 months ago, and like any pup he likes to put things in his mouth, and sometimes it happened to be my wrist, other than that none that I made myself, and I wear one of them 75% of the time, the other 25 being my AP ceramic diver, if you want a watch which won't scratch can't recommend it enough, very cool, out of production and unscratchable, plus they made very few, second hand prices are about last known retail, but once there won't be any on chrono24 the prices will go up, even if the 44mm ROO's will contain it, not all can wear a 44mm ROO...

Patek increased the price of 5711 by about 3.5% this week in Norway.

From NOK 211.200,- (USD 24.900,-) to NOK 218.600,- (USD 25.800,-).
