I purchased my date just upon graduating from my anesthesia residency, some 35-36 years ago. Had it serviced twice, went swimming, hiking, snorkeling with it. Used it every day in my practice, never shirked a duty, as Call said about Deets in Lonesome Dove.

Must be so great to bond with a quality watch as long as some of you guys. Bet you'd feel like you lost a limb if it went missing!

I've had a watch 40 years but sadly it's not a Rolex and just a hand wind kiddies watch that was a christening gift haha.

I've had mine for about a year now. I'm relatively new to collecting watches but, I'm eager to build my collection.

You are correct, whenever I sent the watch to RSC I felt my arm was sick, while I have a daily beater for those instances, my daily watch has been and will be my Rolex GMT.

1675 gmt

I’ve had my 1675 Pepsi since 1981. It was a gift to myself when I graduated flight school. So that’s 41 years!

Embarrassingly this thread is older than my first Rolex purchase.

In 2013 I bought a green dial sub. First time I had enough money in my mid 20s

30 years,
(Submariner 16610 tritium dial)
For exactly 30 years he has been my daily friend.
Then few months ago I bought a SD43
and now he is my daily friend.
(Sub is fine, just taking a nap)
