Daytona but then again I don't see the allure of AP watches that many on here appreciate.

TBH, if you've already got a Daytona, and you're looking to change, I think the AP would be more suited for you.

If it was the new chrono AP RO, no question, AP.

Else, C dayt all the way to the bank. AP looks way too plain jane and will get killed in value retention compared to the rollie. I personally find the AP bracelet to be busy and odd.

If it is a 15202, I'll definitely go for it. Otherwise my pick will be the Daytona.

The white dials are both pretty ugly but the Rolex looks better by a million miles

AP seems like a useless buy, too inconvenient for my liking it wastes too much time and effort to look after and the white/cream tappesirie is gross, looks like crumbling white paint on a derelict building or crumbling wallpaper. Not worth the headache of maintenance

I'm not a huge fan of either, but forced to make a choice, the angular styling of the AP always reminds me of those cheap watches you used to be able to buy at filling stations back in the eighties. That will come across as complete heracy to AP lovers everywhere, but in this case, to my eye anyways, the Daytona is the more handsome watch by a country mile.

You said the AD offered you to change your Daytona to a White dial one. Not sure what that means. And you said they offered the AP for the Daytona? I would do the trade because you would be getting the AP at the MSRP of the Daytona plus, you got to wear the Daytona for a while before even making a trade. Seems to me that you have a good in with the A.D. and can get the Daytona whenever you want it. It is nice that you're able to take advantage of that by getting a more expensive watch for the price of a less expensive watch

That AP looks like a scratch magnet. I would go with Daytona, but I sure wish Rolex would beef up their bracelets to 22 mm.

What I meant is that I got the Daytona black dial from them and he offered me to replace the dial (operation realized by rolex billed around 750€, and you don’t get the dial back...). On the other hand, a friendly forumer put up for sale his 15300 and was interrested in the trade!

Otherwise, looks like the majority is going Daytona! Thanks for the feedbacks guys, always nice to have some external views.

Isn't the Daytona a less fussy watch to live with and service???

Daytona. Design of AP does not rock my boat and seems stuck in time IMO.

I'd second this, AP definitely up a tier or 2 from rolex

For me, I'd put AP, VC, PP as top
Then next level it'll be JLC, Roger dubuis, Piaget, RM
Then it'll be rolex
