Australian EXII42 official release date....

It seems that although retailers are likely to have the new Explorer II in stock later this month they are not allowed to supply it to any customers before the official release date.

The official release date is 5 October 2011.

I suspect this is an attempt to prevent AD's selling these pieces off at super-high prices on the basis that 'other AD's don't have any in stock'.

So I'm assuming that all Australian AD's will have this new EXII42 in stock on 5 October 2011.

Previously in the case of the Milgauss GV the first pieces were trickled out to only a few AD's and they fetched prices at 100% above recommended retail. I don't know that Rolex approved of this but I did complain at the time that I was not happy

Anyway I'm now until 5 October 2011

Thank you Steve, any mention of what the RRP in Aus will be?

Looking at the euro prices, posted by Andres last week and conversions I was reasonably surprised at how reasonable these were. <$7K

Cheers Jules

Ahhh, the wait.

I hate the wait. I was really lucky to be "taken by surprise" and got it well over a month before I expected.

Steve, before long you will had your NExpy2.

Something to look at while you wait...

With the gst rebate (if travelling overseas), will put the price at about AUD 8K. Wouldn't that bring the price into line with other countries? I'm travelling to Singapore next month, so am not sure where to buy this new model. Any suggestions guys? Thanks.

Thanks Milan, $8915, this explains why I have never been in a AD in Australia.

Yes, a GTG is starting to get a little over due. Currently in the US on holidays, back in Aus late Sept.

Speak soon Jules

I know we have a couple of members who have one already. However I just wondered if Rolex tried to control releases like this on a world wide basis or not. Guess they don't.

Thanks,

Dan

Here in France, we got the same answer as our Australian friends (friends until we meet them in Rugby soon in New-Zealand .... ).

Worldwide availability was planned for october 5. It's still the case for us.

Maybe some European countries, ie Finland, Netherland and Deutschland, didn't accepted the general rule.
