Repairing a scratched Plexi

Chaps

I expect to be back in the UK next week and I want to erase the scratch that I foolishly got a couple of weeks ago on my Freccione in a cave.

I intended to use a propriety metal polish such as Brasso but this morning I noticed a few scratches on the cyclops.

So the simple question is - is the cyclops easy to polish up ?

Mank thanks

Mick

Mate, brasso is too abrasive ? Have you tried Cape Cod cloth or the Bergeon metal "eraser"

None of the above. For Plexi you want Polywatch. Buy it on eBay and learn how to use it on Youtube.

Chaps

OK Brazzo is out.

Will Polywatch clear up the cyclops as I suspect it is a harder type of "glass".

Regards

It's all moulded out of the same material - acrylic, so it will polish just fine, depending how deep it is. I see a lot of date mag issues from over-polishing.

Yes and I am also scratching it well. To be honest, I was half expecting to be told not to do it again or wear some cheap old model instead.

Chaps

Just to let you know, I gave the plexi a quick polish (60 seconds max) and the plexi has come up a treat, it is really glistening now and the scratches have completely gone.

Many thanks for the advice.

Regards
