Grey or olive NATO (MOD G10) for my 5513 ?

Trying to decide between the original grey used by the military or olive.

For this 5513: official MOD grey or olive that blends with patina?

If it has to be one or the other, then Admiralty Grey - call me a traditionalist, but...

Although, to be honest, as inexpensive and easy to swap as a G10 is, why not just get both and switch them up as your mood/outfit changes?

Just get them all as they are cheap enough and each gives some variation.

Dark gray would be nice - and much nicer if it had a stripe or two running down the middle.

All personal taste really, some like olive some don't. For that watch I personally would only go with grey or black, no stripes for me.

Referring to a standard Bond strap?

I thought the strap took away from the dial. Didn't like it.

Thoughts on this as an alternative to the NATO?

Was just on their site. Is it the dark or light kangaroo?
Both are nice colors.

Grey but why choose 1? Get both and many more and swap them out whenever, it takes less than a minute!

Stay with the leather. Fabric NATO straps don't do the watch justice.

I also prefer a vintage leather strap. Still interested in trying it out, especially during the summer time.

Your last statement might get you banned from the vintage forum
A NATO strap on a 5513/5517 has a rich history and a huge following.

On military watches where they suited the intended purpose yes but I doubt Rolex supplied them on standard 5512/3 models. Not sure if they even supplied them on the milsubs or whether they just supplied the watch.

So hard to choose. I would say olive. Here's a leather gray.

I way prefer the look without the extra folded strap. Harder to find them though..Can you recommend any site?
the extra metal under the wrist is annoying when working I find. The one in your pic just has a fabric 'keeper".
The original Bond strap worn by Sean Connery had no extra under-strap i'm sure.
