1st G Shock

1983 G Shock 5000c-1a. I can't believe this one is 32 years old. Just thought I would share some g shock history. Bezel was replaced with an original, not aftermarket, but original lcd and set screws and case back. Harder to find ones like this these days :)

I had no idea you could replace the bezel. Do they come in blue and red as well? ;-)

They do have various models with different colors that may fit with a little research. There are many reissue models out there that look very similar. This one has the original 240 module with serial caseback numbers to the original production line. It even has the standard case screws that often break over the years.

Here is a photo ℅ the web of my 20 year old G Shock

In my opinion every collection should contain one G Shock.

They are indestructible

I wore a Casio Databank to work for about 20 years until you could get a calculator on a phone. My wife said you are a successful lawyer, why are you wearing a plastic watch? I really liked it!

Many Rolex, IWCs, Omegas, a Patek later...

I think they still sell that model. I have a few G's, I just don't wear them much.

thats in exceptional condition! does it use the same bezel as the DW5600C?

I have my DW5600C with original bezel and straps, not in nearly as good condition as yours.

And I have a few spare bezel and straps stored up since the OEM bezel made by Casio has been discontinued.

My grass mower and gym go'er. It's just perfect simplicity and for a price you cannot beat.
