Correct, I would have a 2 watch collection with the Sea-Dweller and Sky-Dweller.

Looks good from the front but too thick and bloated for a dressy looking piece.

I would do it. With the great blue dial and the many complications, it's a great choice

Am I the only one who thinks that dial is a cluttered mess?

Looks cool to me, but no way I could just glance down and it actually be useful.

I'm considering selling my bluesey for this because I'm moving back to the UK as I think yellow gold is too blingy for London. This is much more versatile but I think DJ sales and value will drop a lot after this goes on sale

This one can replace all the functions of your current two. Get it and you can do whatever you want with it: play in the water, fly in the sky, align the reference time on it with the Basel time for each year's Baselworld, etc. and oh you only need to adjust a day once in four years.

Not a cluttered mess for me. Different parts of detail are well distinguished.

Owned the WG Sky Dweller on Bracelet with the Creme Dial sometime ago. Traded it for a Platinum Daytona and absolutely love the Daytona. However, I do miss the Sky-Dweller and plan on purchasing the SS Sky Dweller. The SS Sky Dweller has stick makers instead of the Roman Numerals. I believe the stick markers make the watch look less busy. The Sky-Dweller is a great watch with a great movement, and the SS version comes at a very reasonable price. I actually believe the SS version offers a great value in the Rolex line up. Looking forward to reacquainted with the Sky-Dweller.

Well you said that you will wait awhile so that you can get a discount, which realistically will be 1 or 2 years at least... there will be a lot of demand for this. So maybe just see how much you're able to save in that period of time and then maybe you'll only have to sell one of your current two. I'm not your financial advisor, just my 2 cents...

Good luck and I hope you get this, I love it!

Agree
And now I think the popularity of Sky Dweller will rise

A nice piece, but not an everyday watch, and I wouldn't give up those two

The blue and black versions are both lust-worthy. The stick markers make all the difference (not to mention the sunburst dials).

$14k is a steep price tag for most people, including me. But it's a damn impressive watch.

I would suggest you try it on at the AD first before purchasing it. That should be the case for every watch purchase I would say thats in excess of $10k. Its not exactly chump change

First of all I would like to say HI to all of you fine TRF members, and wish you all the best.

I just called Humbertown Rolex in Toronto, Canada this morning and there are 8 people on the waiting list already. I then called ROYAL DE VERSAILLES JEWELLERS in Toronto as well and able to be the first one on the list for a blue dial one. I will post the pictures as soon as I get it.

You've got time...Doubt the watch will even be available for 8 months at least unless you have a real IN with an AD
