For my Wife
Need some help here, please. Is this watch feminine enough? It's a 36mm which I think is really cool on a woman's wrist. But I'm seeing it described as a men's datejust and that's making me nervous. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Measure her wrist. If she's at 6.5 inches, I'd think this should look pretty good on her. I have seen a number of pictures of men's watches on women and honestly, on smaller wrists (in the low 6's or even 5's) the look can be very disproportionate with the entire face taking up the top of the wrist. Also look at the lug width - if wider than the top of her wrist where the bracelet hangs down straight on the sides, definitely doesn't look good. Although anyone can do whatever they want, I just don't understand the push for size over proportionality. It's too expensive an investment - it would be better to try a cheap Michael Kor's that could be tossed if it doesn't work out.

I think 36 works perfectly for a woman. Women wear larger watches now. unless she has a tiny wrists I think you will be fine

My wife owns both a 28 and a 36.
Both look great. Two different looks. One very feminine classy, the other larger, more modern look. |

Ugghhhh why did you have to put a Kardashian picture in there and ruin my day. Naturally she doesn't even know or care to fit the bracelet for her wrist since it's just another piece of expensive "flair" for her to wear that particular day.

My wife wears a 35mm Yachtmaster and is thinking about a 37mm one next. 36mm is perfect imo. Don't be put off by the name of it. Maybe as Dr Tom suggests a different dial if you're still unsure, but I think with the diamonds its fine as is.

Ha6x! I guess " Keeping Up with the Kardashians " isn't exactly top priority of your list of favourite TV reality shows

Welcome to the forum.
You'll get a lot of varying opinions of watch sizes suitable for women (and men too) I'd go to a nearby AD and try some on, see what appeals most to you |

Looks like a great option
The whole men's/women's watch thing is generally a bit dated.

36mm is great for ladies. I got my wife a 36mm DJ with black dial, diamond markers and diamond bezel for Christmas and it was a huge hit. She has a small wrist, I had to remove all available links from the jubilee to make it work for her. She absolutely loves the size and we would never have known without trying some on. Just my $.02!

I echoed the previous post. Measure the wrist- 6.5in is fine.
Yes, please forget about picking photos from the internet esp celebrities. It is the most misinformed yardstick. Sm |

36 is perfect for many women IMO. My wife wears a 16200 often and her mother has a blinged out 116234. Both work

36mm Rolexes are currently very trendy for women. The risk you run is that the trend does not stand the test of time. I personally think you'd be much safer getting her a 31mm DJ, a more classicly (i.e. timeless) feminine size. That said, the diamonds do feminize it quite a bit.

Beautiful DJ. You can't go wrong with that option.
