The OFFICIAL Oysterquartz thread (including Beta 5100)

I've been thinking about doing this ever since I joined the forum a few years ago.

Allow me to begin the definitive Rolex collection of Quartz. Please feel free to post your 17xxx, 19xxx, and 5100's to create an amazing collection of images and share and spread the passion for everything Rolex Quartz!

Some people call that an oxymoron but I am super-stoked to own this reference.

And who can resist the sound of that "TICK"...truly a unique experience.

Enjoy!

A few nice dial shots:

The gold bars stand tall on the dial:

Very flat solid 18K link bracelet:

And of course...the obligatory wrist shot!

I think it's a real fun grab and go watch, never have to worry about setting the time, winding or anything, just slap it on my wrist and go.

I love my OQ to death. It has single handely wiped off my entire watch collection. No point keeping watches that I don't wear.

It is my first Rolex and everything else feels substandard now. I think its because Rolex makes the best bracelets in the business.

robbrum: Very interesting bracelet design...each of the links have bevelled sharper edges, whereas mine are rounded.

Another shot:

That's my favorite OQ.

I've been looking for a good example with that dial for about a year.

I have had this beauty for a while, but sold it because it was to small for my wrist in my believe. 1987 Oysterquartz. After 30 years still in brandnew condtition.

Hi I recently bought a OQ as well and it is also my first Rolex. It didn't come with box or paper, but I didn't care too much for them. It is in a good condition to my eyes and it has a 7 million production number which marks it at a production year of 1981 or 1982. And here it is a picture of the watch for your view. Enjoy!
