If you limit your scope to just a couple of haute horlogerie brands, then you’d be of that opinion, but the fact is there are, and have been, many a red dial from plenty of the established brands.
Rather than photobomb this thread with them or links to them on C24, it’ll be easier to just mention them:

Audemars Piguet – ROOC Rubens Barrichello III, ROOC Masato, ROOC Singapore F1, ROOC 25770
Hublot – BB Red Magic, BB KP F1 Austin, BB KP Bi-Retro Chrono “Kobe Bryant”
Breguet – Classique Complications Tourbillon
Jaeger LeCoultre – Grande Reverso Tribute To 1931 Rouge
Franck Muller – Cintree Curvex 5850
Chopard LUC – XPS Bordeaux
Linde Werdelin – Spidolite Titanium Red
Parmigiani Fleurier – Pershing 002

Beyond that, you have a plethora like the Schumacher by Omega, another Omega Speedmaster (not associated with Schumi), Tutima, Tudor (Tiger Prince and FastRider Chronos, and 12510)
Rolex (not the Grape version!), Corum (Bubble and Admirals Cup AC One Tides, and 45 Chrono), Pierre Kunz, Seiko 5 (and not forgetting the Grand Seiko LE GMT), Hanhart Pioneer Red
Meistersinger, Eterna Super Kontiki Chrono, Perrelet Turbine Racing, Bvlgari Diagono Magnesium Chrono, Breitling (Chronomat Evolution and Windrider Jetstream Chronos), Claude Meylan
Zannetti Magnificum Chrono (yeah, I’ve never heard of them either)….and undoubtedly there are or will have been others I’ve not bothered to search further for, including Kari Vs, Girard Perregaux Ferrari chronos, and other brand tie-ins by whomever for Liverpool, Manchester United, and Ferrari.

So, contrary to perceived wisdom, red dials have made an appearance from numerous brands over the last 15 years or so, and not just in ladies’ watches.

If Jamie didnt think you could get the special dial he would never have told you about how to get one or suggested that to you!!! So thats a positive point!! Many people dont even know about this opportunity until Jamie shared it with you.

Thank you Karls. Jamie did say MD IS HAPPY to send my application to Mr. Stern.

I have to say thank you to Mike if I do get one because he started to mention about special dial. I am always one step behind most people. Like 175, I didn't know there was an anniversary until Jamie asked what I wanted.

I hope I can get one special dial。

I knew but figured you need either to be really famous and the kind of famous PP accepts, Kim Kardashian that means not you, and/or have spent huge fortunes there... Funny but if I could get a nautilus salmon dial 1 of 1, I would happily pays 40th pt prices for it, I mean how cool is it to have a 1/1, I mean Mike has a 1/5 and that is already awesome, but don't think that would happen before me getting at least for a million or two in watches for them, which would mean playing the Lotto more often...

Brian, ask for a PT 5711 with 1/1 salmon dial, that would be my pick, you'd be the forum rockstar

No special dial for this guy. I can't even get an Advanced Research Piece
I will gladly be part of Brian's design team and maybe one of my dream watches can be created for him

Mike has salmon dial, but I don't have it.

I am still thinking which watch to choose for a special dial.

Let's see your 5271P wrist shot Brian. Does the Watch wear a bit big on you? The R in my opinion looks best as it is. If choosing a 5270 I would opt for a G as there are more pleasing color options.

I like platinum, but I can't choose 2016 and 2017 models that PP will not accept it.

I don't have 5271P, but Jamie suggest 5271P and 5270R. I like 5270P, but PP will not accept it. SO my choice maybe 5270R, 5270G or other models.

Jamie also said "There are some pieces that Patek would not consider, such as Basel 2016 or 2017 launches, and also if something has been requested before and been declined by Geneva (such as 5180G on leather strap) Patek (UK) will be able to tell us so that we do not request that piece."

I thought you said you had to buy a 5271P and PC and an AD then sold you a 5131R? Do you own a perpetual calendar chrono?

Ha Ha. That is another 5131R offer in Taipei 101 AD. I did not take an offer since I already got 5131R from Jamie.

I prefer self winding. No 5160P available.

Maybe salmon dial for 5270 or 5170.

Just be aware that both the 5270 and 5170 are manual wind watches. They both have the manual wind chrono base movement. So for the 5270, you can't use a regular watch winder to keep it wound, for the perpetual calendar part.

The red dial looks nice for a ladies watch.

Thank you for mention about 5270 and 5170 manual winding.

Besides Nautilus, 2016 and 2017 models, there are not many choices for self winding platinum model.

I real like the 5077G red dial.

Ha Ha. too many rules about special dial. Maybe PP will charge me a lot if PP approves it.

Hard to decide.

How about this yellow color for special dial.
