Thank you all for the comments. The problem with waiting for a boutique is that no ADs near me in the Midwest have the piece in stock and most sat the next 5/6 are presold - I.e. won't be able to see one in the flesh anytime soon. The AD that has it is willing to ship to me from another state so I'm going to have to make this decision on gut feel. That being said I am really keen on expanding my horizon into Patek and of the two that I really like (5524 is other), this is the one that seems to be in grasp. Will update with any decisions and hopefully an incoming soon!
