Dayjust 41 blue flutted vs GMT II BLNR
Time to buy a second Rolex, in addition to the my Explorer 214270
I love the simple lines and the new DJ 41 looks right for me. From other side, the BLNR has nice GMT complication and much differ from the Explo.. I' d like to use these watches on monthly basis Your input would be greatly appreciated |

I'd get the BLNR, and wait until the more DJ41 hit the pre-owned market to get a good $.
The DJ41 SS is VERY new, so prices are still up there. Once the market settles/gets flooded with inventory, it'll come down.

I'd probably sell the Exp and get those two as a nice sports/dress pair

I'll go against the grain and say buy the DJ41. Its a simple elegant piece with staying power.
The BLNR didn't last for me. |

If you don't have a dressier watch than the explorer, I say go with the DJ41. On the other hand, if you do a lot of traveling, I say pick the BLNR - the 2nd time zone is a very useful complication.

You had to make it tough....I really like both of these. For me it would come down to which you would wear more. Do you dress up more or tend to be more casual? Do you travel a lot? Do you switch watches daily? You already have the most versatile Rolex IMO, get the one that compliments your life style and goes best with it...for YOU.

Blue DJ, though I really like the GMT too.

I agree with this. Love the new DJ while the bezel numbers on the GMT are too big and busy for my liking, but there are plenty who love it so no wrong answer here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yes, the Explorer my only watch. I'd prefer to keep them. No, I don't travel a lot but living far from the homeland. I tend to be dress more casual. I think DJ 41 with flutted bezel and oyster bracelet will work as "anywhere" watch. I'm going to switch watches monthly (as I heard, in this case they will last longer)
I lean towards to DJ41 because it's new model and will be actual for a long time since GMT II in production from 2005 and probably will be updated in next few years..But BLNR so good)) |

I would say get the DJ41 as well.
For starters you can just walk into your AD and buy one off the shelf. It's a nice piece and has the new movement and is a nice looking piece. The BLNR is a watch that ends up being quite boring and you already have the dual time zone feature in your explorer II. And if you are determine to buy it brand new - well enjoy the wait time. |

I have a 114060 and a BLNR. Currently in the market for a DJ2/DJ41. Honestly I want a DJ41 because of Jubilee bracelet. For now I'm gonna wait for prices for DJ41 to settle a little.

I'd go BLNR as IMO the Explorer is such a versatile piece it can be easily dressed up with its subtle but elegant style. I also agree with waiting for the DJ41 market/pricing to settle down after the initial buyers rush starts to calm.

I'd go with the DJ, but on a jubilee. Fluted bezel looks much better on a jub.

Very tough choice. Based on you owning an Explorer and having limited travel I would suggest the DJ 41. I have the DJ 36 in that same blue and it is really nice. One of the best blue dials out there. The WG fluted bezel will only add to its dressy elegance distinct from your Explorer which is a great all purpose sports watch.
I loved the BLNR the first time I saw it but I already had three GMTs and though it is indeed a useful function I didn't need a fourth at the time. Since then I've wondered in the BLNR design is a bit busy. I might warm to it again but would need to flip one of my GMTs to justify the move. |
