2 wonderful timepieces - warning (pictures inside)!!!!

Today i was in my AD and try 2 wornderful timepieces: SD43 and YG Sky-D. My impression is the following:

SD43 - very very nice watch, wears even smaller despite the fact that its 43 mm. I think this is a very balanced timepiece which stand in the correct middle between Sub and DSSD. When I tried DSSD i had impression that it is too thick too me and too big despite not small my wrist.

Unfortunately this SD43 price in Asia is USD 12,300 (much higher than MSRP) and you can buy this piece if you buy any TT timepiece together.

YG Sky-D - very impressive presence on the wrist. I like it very much. I like the weight of gold (i think this is a biggest piece of gold that I ever had in my hands), wonderful complications and appropriate bling :) Yes, this watch you can buy without any restrictions

When I asked about SS/Gold Sky-D AD mentioned that they expect them at the end of July but the same rules will apply as for Daytona - C and SD43 (you have to buy another fulll gold / TT timepiece together).

Below are obligatory pics

Great looking watches but the whole buying a full gold or TT watch in order to get another watch you want is ridiculous.

Very nice pieces for sure

It's a pity they play games around buying other pieces in order to get one of the new Basel releases.

I tried on the rose gold Sky-D today. Found it to be too bulky for my skinny wrists

Give it a few months and the market will be flooded with SD43s then go back and buy it at a discount (and they will because they are hard to sell). It is not the next DaytonaC.

Both beautiful watches but I would not do any business with this AD. You have to purchase a gold watch to get the Sea Dweller, no way, ridiculous. I would wait a while and purchase the SD when they become more available. If you were looking to buy both watches in the first place, bargain like hell on the gold and if you like the deal, pull the trigger.

I guess this must be a stunt by AD in Singapore. For such a bundle deal, i rather get the daytona C

They are pulling the same stunt for Daytona C in Vancouver
Buy TWO precious metal watches then you can buy the Daytona C

Utterly stupid sales practice imho

But I guess people do it

It wears like a big VJ7750 powered chronograph (e.g., surprisingly thick through the mid case).

I think the SD43 will be selling below MSRP in the next 6-12 months!

I didn't realize that it was already below? I just took a quick look on here and the ones for sale are still above. All good either way

Yes it was surprisingly thick and very heavy in gold.
I was expecting it to be more datejust sized.

Totally agree. The mid case is massive and the lug to lug was surprisingly long. I'll check out the SS version but the gold one was big and heavy.

Same. Didn't have any SS versions in. Might try a DD instead

The skydweller movement in the dd36 case (sans 24 hour ring) would be an ideal watch for me.
