Cannot make my mind ...

Hello everyone!

I really can't decide which one I would rather take. I have a 116500 Black dial but always preferred the white one. My AD offered me to change it. In the other hand, I was proposed a 15300 in exchange of the Daytona. I don't know what to do, both watches look extremely appealing to me.

What would you guys do ?

Here is a pic to illustrate, taken from the instagram account of thehighlander65, I hope you don't mind

Can they offer you a 15202

Its a tough call, I really like the AP and it would give you another brand.

You've got the great bracelet and tapisserie dial v the ceramic bezel and strong resale, tough call so go with your heart.

I love the AP but I'd be scarred of it as a daily due to the easy of scratching. Seen somewhere when a guy didn't even put his hands in his pockets for fear of scratches!
That kinda takes the buzz out of it for me. On the other side tho it is drop dead gorgeous!

It depends on whether you can live with scratches. APs are beautiful but due to the fine finishing of the metal, it is a scratch magnet.

If you are considering wearing it for a daily watch, I'd go with the white Daytona.

I'd vote Daytona, though admittedly, APs don't appeal to me.

Both fantastic pieces. But the AP is a higher tier of watch. I would take advantage of the Daytona hype and make the trade. When the Daytona premiums go away you are basically trading a 13k watch for a 18k watch. You can rebuy the Daytona when they drop to RRP.

Thanks for all the inputs guys :) !

Looks like this is mind (Daytona, robust movement + great at retaining value) vs. heart (15300 with lower resale value and scratch magnet). I do not care too much about the resale value however, an can live up with some scratches

Not sure about the resale point. Isn't the 15300 trading at the MSRP of the Daytona?

Anyway, if the 15300 is a full set and pristine, I'd take it and add another Daytona down the road if I misssd it.

Just tried the 15400 on for the first time the other day. Very nice piece, but for me I'd be too worried about keeping it pristine, which seems impossible. Either Daytona for me.

This! I respect that we all have different taste, and feel you should definitely get the one that sings to you most. That said, this would be an easy choice for me...as one sings loudly to me and the other does nothing for me at all!

I'm afraid I would have to go Daytona all the way! My profile kind of makes my comment obvious.
