Purchasing watch from DavidSW from Australia

Hello all.

I am looking to purchase from DavidSW for the first time as soon as a Hulk comes in stock.
My only concern is the extra charges that could possibly be incurred when the watches comes into the country.

If anyone from Australia has previously purchased from davidSW, it would be much appreciated if you could let me know your experience in terms of the extra charges (if any).

Kind regards, Steve.

Hi mate, I haven't purchased from David SW, but have bought from others in the US. You'll be liable for duty charges on import, something like 12.5% of the value.

Cheers

I bought an Oris Divers Sixty-five from Jomashop. Customs grabbed and the charges were substantially more than just GST. Still less expensive than buying here but nowhere near as much as I thought.

You pay GST on both cost of watch and shipping, that's why more than 10%. You also have to pay handling/administrative charges. You can do the customs clearance yourself or engage a broker.
