Change Dial and Hands 116528 Daytona

I have changed the dial on Datejusts many times and it is an easy task with the correct tools, which I have.

I have a 116528 Gold Daytona with a black face and at night it is impossible for my aging eyes to see the hands on the black face, so I want to change out the face to a white one to have more contrast. My problem is I have never changed a dial on a Daytona and do not know how that movement comes out of the case because of the 2 secondary buttons in the case. I have access to a new white dial with hands.

Any insight would be appreciated. No flaming please, just looking for info.

Thanks

Supposedly, most places won't even service a Daytona because the subdial hands are very fragile and break upon removal. Should otherwise mostly be the same as a DJ.

The sub dial hands are indeed very fragile, I can attest.

You might want to factor in the cost of replacing them as a worst case scenario. Otherwise, I think it's a fairly straightforward procedure. Good luck and post some pics.

Many times chrono hands are not considered reusable. They will never fit on as securely as the original installation. I would definitely replace them either way.

I commend your adventurous spirit, but you're sure you want to dig that deep into a watch that expensive?

Thanks all for the quick replies. I did send an email off to Jewelers On Time (Vanessa) to get an estimate for them to do the work. I did not know the hands on a Daytona were that fragile. This forum is great!
