Daydate 40 day change.

Hey guys so I bought my DD 40 and the guy set it 12 hours ahead of time. So the day jumped at noon instead of midnight. I'm wondering if it's safe to advance the time 12 hours at any time of the day? I heard that you can damage the watch if you set it between 9pm and 3am. Thanks in advance

Whether moving hands forward by rotating the stem or through a main spring the same gears are used to move the hands. Move them ahead.

Just as a general reminder. Always check the manual of the watch in question because depending on the movement there may be limitations on when to make a date change.

This being said I think most (all?) of modern Rolex models don't have a preoblem
