I posted this just earlier today on the “watchout” section. It’s got me looking at Daytonas instead of subs. The U.K. dealers seem to have really dropped the prices last week or two!
“I’m starting to get excited. I’ve held off buying a long time and watched all the MODA price drops referred to. That’s quite far removed from the U.K. grey market trend which is headed downwards but slowly - the dealers I’ve had an eye on seem to be getting a much higher level of stock in now over the last week and prices are softening significantly even on “cheaper” sports models - sub/ Exp II etc. nearly there!” |

You want a 2016 Daytona? Fair enough. Cheaper now it’s out of warranty for sure.

I should be clear I’m not getting excited about people losing money. More I’ve not bought anything in ages and refused to pay the prices. It’s nice to see that some options should be available soon at sensible money.
U.K. pricing on the 116519LN is a good example. Last MSRP was about £26k. Watchfinder have 3 examples from 2018/ 19 at £50k which isn’t an uncommon asking price from old adverts. But they also have a 2020 at £36k which isn’t selling - they can be had on other sites nearer £30k so surely not far into 2023 before a stunning watch can be had at MSRP or under. It is one of my favourites so I do keep an eye on them. |

Explorer II 226570 is now easy to get at under £10k (including polar) and I’ve seen it as low as £8,500 BNIB which is getting much more tempting against MSRP of £8k. Market feels close to that tipping point on these models where there’s nothing left in flipping them.
Subs consistently coming down £250 or so a week so headed the same way. |
