Any concerns with this early 90s 16610?

Looking at purchasing this. It’s a full set with papers 16610 from the early 90s. Any concerns?

Thanks!

Hard to tell from just one picture. Buy the seller first

Heavy polish on those lugs and bracelet looks loose. Should be under 10k for sure.

Yeah. 8 with the full kit. Apparently recently serviced by a local guy. Not sure he knew what he was doing with the polish wheel.

Some aftermarket or not era specific parts warrant opening it.

I’d also ask Seller to take it to an RSC or good AD as many generic watch techs who aren’t familiar with Rolex won’t be able to tell a clone movement easily.

What aftermarket parts are on it?

Also worth mentioning it is a fairly established dealer who allegedly purchased it from the original owner. The full kit has the paperwork from a local ad who doesn’t have a Rolex contract anymore but is local to this grey dealer.

Looks good- the band looks like it's stretched a bit though- I'd make a reasonable offer on it if in the market.

Yes.

Lugs, bracelet. There are better examples out there.

And better watches for the money.

Personally I'd rather spend 8k on a new GS than on a tired looking Sub.

looks beat, at the price you mentioned you're getting what you pay for and it's not a great deal or anything. i'd personally rather spend a little bit more and get a clean example that'll age much better
