Or the 3800s going back to sub-20K. A YG 3800 used to be "only" $30k.

5980r (full gold), full set, excellent condition $169K. Still well above retail but half what it was trending earlier this year.

It depends on the reference. The 5110 have been on the rise for a while following in the footsteps of the 3940 PCs. The 5230 not so much. Not sure about the 5130. Except for the P I wouldn't consider any 5230 as I dislike their dials (both the specific pattern and its grey color).

The enamel world timers are a different story yet again.

I’m with you on the 5230. The case, the Dayal, the Hands - not so great. 5130, looks good to me.

Patek Philippe is in big trouble. They got ahead of themselves and aggressively increased retail price on their complications.

Time only Calatrava 5226 with an old movement for $40k? Really?
5205 for 55k???
5524 for almost 60k after taxes???
Manual wind chrono 5172 for 80k????

These are all dogs and they only reason they sold is because they were bundled with Nautilus and Aquanauts.

I expect them to be cut in half in the 2ndary market in 2023. Actually the 5524 is almost there and can be found in the 30s.

Both 5226 and 5227 at 40k feels crazy. Only five years ago a 5711 was just above 20k. Want a Nautilus today? Starting at 50k for 5712/1A. Want a clean dial? Sure, 5811/1G for a mere 70k...

Mind you, fuel prices for the boat and the G650 have been on the rise.

I agree price-wise, although I would not call all of these “dogs”, just overrated.

“Dogs”?? Hilarious. Sounds PP may not be your brand of choice.

Until 3-4 years ago, those models would sit in windows for months. Just because we have lived through 3 weird years does not mean we cannot go back to a more normal situation.

I am perplexed by your reply. I was talking about the comparison between Pateks and canines, while you seem to be talking about market conditions.

This is quite shocking, as it is one of the most sought-after models, being recent, in steel, and with an original -albeit useless, in my opinion- complication.

Week numbers are used a lot more here in Europe, and I'm guessing you are not from here. I personally love this complication, as well as the watch, and especially the way the price goes
