Icon4 124060 measurements

Hey guys!

yesterday I posted a video on reddit of my submariner bought off chrono so I still have my 14 days no good money back guarantee.

some 3 people were reacting it was a fake,
lugs on case incorrect, dial indices too thin, rehaut not polished and clasp crown improperly welded, pip and bezel teeth wrong.

I checked these things but all seem ok to me by watching pictures.

I found a video on youtube with all measurements :

Mine - youtube video
158gram vs 158 gram
Case width 40.5 vs 40.5
dial 30.3 vs 30.3
lug to lug 47.9 vs 47.7
thickness 12.4 vs 12
bracelet 20.6 vs 21
lug width 26.6 vs 26.7

should I be worried the thickness of my watch is 12.4 instead of 12?

also it's now in 17 hours already 4 seconds off, so I will bring it to my AD on monday so they can recalibrate it, in the meantime they will open the watch and I will have my piece of mind.

Good job, my friend. Now let the experts weigh in. Frankly, I do not trust many of the the internet measurements that you see, as they tend to differ.

Haters gonna hate. Let them, that’s their job.

Congratulations on getting started with the sub.

If it were me, it’s just a submariner, i wouldn’t fret too much about it being slightly out of spec. For your own peace of mind, go somewhere that will open it. Not all dealers will do so, so make sure you tell them it’s running slow and ask for a service estimate.

The platinum bezel marker infill looks really clean and the proper texture. Good sign.

Does the bezel have a little springy feeling when you push down on it? Do the lumed indices have texture when you look closely?

Can't really see the hand stack pivot in the pictures, but it looks like a sub to me.

Nothing wrong visually As other members pointed out, not everything out here on the web is accurate. And while I'd take the measurements quoted with a grain of salt, based on your pictures I fully dismiss the comments, save for the lugs, which I can't see anyway.

Actually, if we can get a picture of the lugs, that would be good.

Should a sub have these?

A modern Sub should. The spring to the bezel is because how how it's attached. The fakes generally don't have the right engineering to the bezel attachment which is why they feel really stiff and don't have the proper Rolex click.

As for the lume, if it's too smooth, it's a good tell that it's a fake.

Yes it has the springy feeling 🤞. How can I check the lume? What do you mean with too smooth?

It looks fine. And remember, intelligent people keep things simple and round up and round down weights and measures depending on the side of .5 it lands.

Others just want to sound smart.

Enjoy your watch. Buy a Pledge.

On close inspection, the lume on the indices will have a rough texture and appearance. Not quite like the surface of a brownie, but if it's smooth that's not how Rolex does it.
