I set myself free a few years ago by deciding to ignore the date entirely.

With these slow set beauties, I don't even bother, except the time.

I am wearing a 6 digit today, but every bit as annoying. Why does the Exp. II not have a quickset date. Just set the date on my wife’s watch as well which is a 4 digit, I think it’s actually less annoying on a 4 digit as it’s more understandable versus doing this on essentially a new watch.

Having the wrong date would trigger some OCD from me and I'm not OCD.

Still in lockdown here...

Could be the 1st, 7th, 14th or 22nd. Really doesn't matter.

Pandemics and non-quickset date Rolexes go hand in hand!

I actually rolled the date on my 1601 from 28 to 31 the night before so that it would be correct when I woke up the next morning.

Changing those old watches is good physical exercise.

Slow off the mark, just got around to it (March 2). Took a few seconds longer...

Hope it’s okay to post here without a Sub picture? :)

Nowadays I am just patient enough to wait until the date nears closer and I am within 4-8 rotations. Otherwise will just reach for a no date watch or a quick-set.
