That's always a plus with Omega and big publicly traded watch conglomerates in general.

Think the media embargo is through tomorrow so we’ll all have to wait to Friday

I wish this were true.

Still waiting on a watch I purchased after Basel 18.

Well, botched media release aside, I think Omega did a very nice job with the 50th Apollo XI Speedy. Not really a fan of the other announced Omega pieces. Haven’t had a chance to look at the other Swatch offerings yet.

I like the Speedy also, especially the new bracelet.

I was a little underwhelmed this year. The SS Deville might be nice—it’s a steal compared to the recently released Grand Seiko SBGK005.

The Speedmaster dial...that astronaut sub-dial just doesn’t work for me. Agree that the bracelet is nice—sort of retro. I think it would look even better on the FOIS and similar models.

None of the others really jumped out at me. The 300m dive Chrono is just too big, and the AT GMT dial is too busy.

Omega blew it. What's up with the picture of an astronaut's butt on the sub-dial? I think there are several other iconic pictures that could have been used... and I still don't understand why they didn't use this as the piece to reissue the 321 movement. C'mon! This thing was set up like an underhanded pitch right over the center of the plate for a jacked-up, 'roided-out Barry Bonds to crush out of the park and into the SF Bay.... People will buy it for the speculation that it will eventually go up in price and resell it later, I think. But otherwise, it's a huge "whiff" in my book.

But the box it comes in... Whoa! Check that thing out.

I actually do happen to like the new Planet Ocean 43.5mm white dial/orange bezel. That thing is pretty cool!

The 50th would’ve been better if they did away with the gold foil image in the subdial. I like everything else on the watch.

SMP white dial on rubber strap looks great. I also like the orange ceramic PO but it’s still too large for me to wear.

The white dial looks sweet. I also like the Sedna Gold Chrono with black ceramic bezel.

Although this is intersting.

I do kind of like it and can see it growing on me.

The back of the steel speedy is looking less like a footprint and more like a mitochondrion.

We waited how long after Baselworld 2019 and we get this from Omega? It's a little underwhelming. I agree that Omega could've found a better picture for the 9 sub-dial...

I love this bracelet, which looks like the 1039. Hopefully you can buy this separately from an OB. This would be an excellent upgrade for any Speedy owner.

no wonder there was an embargo, if there was a trickle of releases it would be really sad.
