Picked up my first Omega in years. Speedmaster Racing Co-axial Master Chronometer
Wow. Thats a long name.
Just was wandering around at my AD, not really looking to add anything. Have enough timepieces for my entire neighborhood, then I saw this. Asked to see it, and was blown away. Omega has really stepped up their game. Ceramic bezel, micro adjust, great bracelet, display back.....really nice. My first non Rolex/AP purchase in years....Really a stunner in person. Thoughts? And yes, I have a ceramic Daytona...Black dial. Quite honestly, I like this better. https://www.omegawatches.com/watch-o...2930445104001/ |

Excellent. Congratulations! Caliber 9900 is impressive, and the overall package really is tons of watch for the dollar.

This is an awesome chrono - appeals to me as well but I don’t have the wrist for it. Enjoy

Its quite nice......Do any of the omega people here know why I don't see many, essentially none, out there in internet world? Did it just start rolling in?

I like that. I'm more partial to three register chronos but I love the "Speedy on steroids" look.

Very nice
The 9300 is a fantastic movement and having two sub dials lets you easily use the right as a second time zone. |

Ah nice. Had completely forgotten about the 9900.
I guess it must have their master certification or whatever it's called. Either way, it must be better than my 9300, but functionality is still great for the 2nd time zone. |

Wow...I would definitely consider that in lieu of the ceramic Daytona especially when I consider that I could buy two of them in different variants for essentially the price of one ceramic Daytona, if I could even find one! Very nice and thanks for the link to the omega site as well.

I’m going to tell you. Be sure to read the reviews of this watch, and see it in person. It was slimmed down, and the case back is particularly rounded and comfortable. Make sure to see it in person before you decide. It wears quite slim to me. It’s a tremendous timepiece, and I have a bit of a reference point.

bumping your thread to ask if you're still enjoying your Speedy ? I was especially intrigued by the size comparison to the 216570, as that's a regular wear for me.
I just saw the black, monochrome, racing dialed version on a bracelet and it's siren song is strong....very strong....also the grey dialed version with the orange second hand... that one I've only been able to find on a strap, however. |
