Purchasing ebay

Hello, so I learned after posting 2 watches I bought that were fake that I am not good enough to tell a fake. I found that eBay has something called “authenticity verified” where the watches are sent to them and confirmed real. Has anyone used this service? Seems like it’s pretty safe right? eBay wouldn’t be wrong about authenticity I’m guessing?
Anyone have experience buying from an authencity verified auction?
