Incoming 15450!
I still can’t believe I’m writing this but after months of trying to decide what to buy, and then months of waiting, this Monday I picked up a beautiful ruthenium dial 15450. I tried on a lot of different watches and decided the RO was the one in my budget that I liked the best, the 15400 was way too big for my tiny wrists but I think the 15450 is a perfect fit.
I picked it up from the Beverly Hills boutique, who have been great with me from the start. They said they haven’t got any travel cases in a while or I would’ve gotten one, but I did get a nice orange polo shirt. I was also told that they’re actually all out of ROs for the year, all the ones that they have coming are spoken for and they’re not taking more orders for the year, which surprised me. They also said that this dial is now also one of the harder ones to get, so I’m super happy I was able to order when I did so that I was able to get the one I wanted. I’m actually still in the middle of a road trip driving through California so I haven’t been able to take any well thought out photos of the watch and the box, but I can’t make this post without at least one photo so here’s a wrist shot, I’ll post an update here when I’m home and can take some more photos, hopefully this Sunday. Hadn’t been that long but I’m already super impressed. This watch is unbelievable, I love everything about it. I think there’s a tiny dust spec on the dial (white mark on the top left corner of the square on top of the 10 marker), but it doesn’t bother me enough to lose the watch for however long it takes to have it checked out, especially since I just got it. Hahaha The finishing on the watch is amazing, and I’m so happy with the ruthenium dial, which I never got to see in person before ordering, it really is the best color for me. I’m gonna keep wearing it like this for now but I haven’t decided if it’s ok or if it’s maybe a little tight, I might try adding back one of the two links they took out at the boutique, and if that doesn’t work I might have to order the 1.5 link… Do I have to take it to a watch store to get it sized (couldn’t go back to AP since they’re not in sf, would probably go to the PP AD), or is it easy enough to just do it myself? Not sure what else to say right now other that I feel super lucky to be able to get this watch as my first real watch, very happy to share with you all as well! |

Congrats. It looks great on your wrist.
I received my 15450 blue dial from the Miami Boutique early last week. It was about a 3 month wait from time of deposit. I love everything about it. The 37mm case size is a perfect fit on my skinny 6.5" wrist. It fits pretty close to a 40mm Rolex sports model. They threw in an AP baseball cap and bracelet with little octagonal pendant (similar to the cuff link) Similar situation at the Miami Boutique with 15450 stock. The 15450 is the new 15400

Congrats.
Same here, I tried on 15400. It was huge for my 6.75" wrist. 15400 wear more like 42/43mm. This watch looks perfect. I am thinking your wrist size is around 6.50 inches

Congrats! Beautiful 15450. I was considering the same watch, but wish it was a bit larger. Perhaps AP will reissue the 39mm models again? The 15300 was a perfect size. Enjoy your new watch.

Yep and just think that you could of gotten nice discounts on the secondary market for non-blue dials. Not so much now.

Thank you! Appreciate that, I really like how it fits me too! Quote:
Yeah I’ve heard a lot of people would like the 39mm back, don’t know if that will happen though… Guess I’m just lucky the 37mm fits me well! Quote:
Yeah, crazy how things change in the blink of an eye! |

Thank you!! When I ordered it there was a (short) waiting list so I didn’t even try to get a discount, since I knew they don’t have the need to give discounts when there’s people waiting to get the watch. But then when I picked up my watch I actually overheard a client asking about a discount on a different model, I think it was the ROO, and he was told that they (Beverly Hills boutique) don’t give discounts of any kind for any piece. (Or at least that’s what I was able to understand) |
