16710 Authentication...

HI there,

just received my stick dial d series in the mail and i was wondering if anyone could recommend the best place to get the watch authenticated gen, i live in DC and would be open to drive around a little bit. I understand among the best places are going to be AD's but if anyone knows of the cheapest inspection among AD's i'd be very much appreciative. thanks

Well is there any reason why you would want to get your watch authenticated did you buy it from a unreliable source. Many ADs will not authenticate a watch some will want to send it to Rolex. But there are some that will for a fee but seeing as you have already got your watch its a bit late to check if its authentic. Not sure what you mean by a stick dial unless you mean the different fonts hope you did not pay extra for this as its only a simple font change. Now your watch could be from 2005/6 and if no service history it now due for its first service at a RSC.After service you will get Rolex service papers with a full two year warranty that will be all the authentication you will ever need good luck with your watch.

was going to get it authenticated to be prudent i suppose, it was purchased online, bnib still with sticker - was just concerned about people swapping out internal pieces but as you stated i've learned theres no way to tell unless sent into rolex. thanks for the response and I did not pay extra for the "error" or "stick" dial

I noticed you are in the Washington DC area.
You can take it to this place in Vienna, Va on Fridays or Saturdays.

Buddy Huguley is located near Annapolis.

If taking your watch to John Alabaster give specific instructions that only John can/will handle your watch.

I am going to ask what everyone want to ask.

What is a "tiny jewel box"? And do they know Rolex?
