I don't have any Grandes Complications but I know I would go with the minute repeater if I had the choice. It's such a great and unique complication.

For me order of preference specifically for PP would be:

1. Repeater
2. Split second chrono
3. Perpetual chrono
4. Tourbillon.

For other brands the order would be different I think, not least as I prefer Tourbillons dial side up which PP don't do (and I understand why they don't).

I got the same preference as you, even though if we go by the most valuable Pateks it wouldn't be in that order.

As for Patek doesn't do tour billion dial side up is because the sun will dry up the oil.

Interesting, I always assumed (and I thought I read in once in one of their magazines) that it was a deliberate decision to highlight their very conservative and un-ostentatious brand values to keep the tourbillons hidden from sight to anyone but the owner?

I understand the love for this piece after now owning it and wearing it all day, it's truly the most comfortable watch I've owned!

The perpetual chronograph to me was the most desirable because it is so historic for Patek. It felt like an essential.

The others are desirable as well to varying degrees for me.

Above all else, the aesthetics are important to me. There are plenty of watches out there that do all kinds of interesting things, but if it doesn't appeal to me aesthetically I won't wear it. The exclusivity of a piece alone isn't enough for me. It has to trigger that aesthetic attraction to stay in my collection long term.

Amen to that, wearing a watch you find beautiful is worth much more than all the complications and finishing it can have.

...Mind you, getting both at the same time is quite nice as well when you can afford it.
