Why re-invent the wheel Use Vanessa at Jewelers on Time in Newport Beach (TRF forum member) or ABC Watchwerks in LA if you don't want to use a RSC, just saying.

My guess is that best case scenario you will end up paying the same price as one of the trusted people mention above and getting your watch fixed, worst case, you pay way more or they do shotty work and damage your beloved watch.

I personally don't think it would be worth the risk to at best probably not save much if any money.
