Suede Watch Pillows To Fill Watch Box

A bit of an unusual question:

I'm commissioning a local wood artist to make a watch box for me.

I don't want to use the watch pillows that come with the watches I've acquired—I want to keep those with the boxes and papers—so I'm looking for a separate set of suede watch pillows.

I'd love for the quality of the pillows to match that of the box, but when I search online I can't seem to find anything of real quality.

Any recommendations? Thanks, all!

If I was going to the trouble of having a beautiful new watch box made I would be having all of the pillows specially made also so that I could pick the fabrics used and make sure the fit is perfect, as I like a watch box pillow to be nice and tight fitting, so it doesn't move around. I don't know exactly who I would hire but any good handycrafts, art & crafts type business should be able to do it for you quite easily, if you cannot find anyone better. All you would need to do is bring them an example pillow to copy the type of design you like and then they can tailor it to fit your box perfectly.

I know this doesn't really help you out much but it is just my thoughts on what I would actually do myself.

Maybe a good auto upholstery shop can do it?

I have the same issue - a box with no pillows. All I've been able to find so far is 3" square shaped velvet pillows, but that's not quite what I'm looking for.

Keep us posted.

Got a PM from someone who knows a custom upholsterer, so that might be promising—I'll keep people posted. In the meantime please feel free to share any additional ideas…

If you want the super luxurious look, pipe insulation cut to size might be worth consideration. But only from the finest foam with imported Swiss are filled bubbles.
