Vintage Spring Bars - 6238 & 6263 Specific

I’m on the cusp of venturing into vintage from modern and have a few questions pertaining to spring bars. I prefer leather straps to bracelets and swap them out quite often. I’ve been able to obtain extra spring bars for the modern models I have through my AD. My primary question is, when it comes to vintage, are original (as opposed to aftermarket) spring bars necessary or the “norm” and how difficult are they to obtain?

Now to some specifics, if anyone could help. Are the spring bars for the Pre-Daytona 6238 interchangeable with the Daytona 6263? Are they 18mm or 19mm? Are they readily available?

Does Rolex still have a “new old stock” supply of these or do they continue to manufacture them for their vintage models? If not, which aftermarket manufacturer/supplier is the standard or most trusted?

Thanks!
Jerry

Can anyone provide advice on aftermarket spring bars for references 6238 and 6263? Exact size and retailer? Thanks!

For the life of me I don't understand people wearing a $30K Rolex and opt for CHEAP aftermarket Spring bars

They are 18mm in diameter, and 19mm length. The real genuine ones can be obtained from any Rolex AD. Make sure you get the shoulderless bars

If you must go for the swiss made aftermarket bars from OtoFried in Oakland, Calif. They are couple of bucks a piece. Hey, but the bar fails and your watch is lost or damaged, you have no one to blame but yourself

So pins for these models are still readily available at ADs? That's tremendous news. So we're looking at 19mm by 1.8mm shoulderless. Thank you!
