My new Submariner

Received this 1991 (which makes it 24 years old and therefore almost vintage, right?) Submariner 16610 form the good folks at HQ Milton. Kazu was a pleasure to deal with, and the transaction, including overnight shipping was the smoothest. Only blemish the watch has is a tiny ding in the crown, otherwise it's mint. Couldn't be happier with it.

Congratulations on your Submariner, looks great! As to whether it would be considered vintage, that is open to debate

Thank you! I know, it has more characteristics going against it being vintage: the face, the serial, etc. It doesn't really matter to me, as I'm not a strict vintage collector. It's getting there, though and the creamy tone of the tritium is just the beginning!

Thank you for all the advise you gave me that lead to me purchasing this watch. Had it not being for you, I wouldn't have known where to start and what model to look for to meet my budget, I really appreciate it.

Looks great! Next service, just get the crown replaced if it bothers you :)

Thank you! I might, though I don't know if by replacing it it'd ruin the eventual vintage aspect/value.

The crown is a triplock crown and the replacement crown will also be a triplock so you won't ruin the vintage aspect or value. They are meant to be replaced... the worry is usually for the pre 72 (?) vintage - pre-triplock.
