Need expert opinion in evaluating a 1675 MK3

Good morning fellow TRF members. Please give your opinion on this example. 537XXXX serial, watch only, and asking price is $19K. Is the serial correct? Is the date wheel correct? I thought it should be brushed. Doesn't look it from the pictures. It looks like there is possible oil mark on the dial between the 1 and 2 hour markers. I think the price is ridiculous. What would one pay in a fair market Thank you in advance for the comments.

I don't know what this watch is selling for. I though $19K was high.

I understand that sellers can ask whatever price they want, and I also understand that nice examples of all vintage Rolex sports models are skyrocketing in price. However, sometimes it's just absurd. And this is one of those times. Even if this was a full set, I think $19K is way over the top for this GMT.

Regardless of price, I find it interesting the past year or so, how the serial number range for Mark III dials creeps higher every year.

"Watch only," as in, no bracelet? You should probably get two of them for $19k.

Thank you all for the feedback. Thread didn't get much traction as I would had hoped. Gives me time to let the dust settled. Serial number creeping is good enough reason not to make a counter offer, not to mention price gouging.

Case is a little soft, some light spotting on the dial. 19K - yeah, right.

By "watch only" I take it to mean watch + bracelet, but no box & papers. Based on the pics, it looks to be a very good example. To me the the case looks fine; I think the appearance of softness at the upper left lug area is just light overexposure (I say this because the other areas look to be well defined). The blemish on the dial, considering where it is, is not so problematic to my mind. Again, based on what I see, this is a strong watch. If we move the conversation to the asking price, considering this isn't a full set and there's no mention of any important provenance, then I'd say the purchase price is very aggressive.
